never bought me a gift , we go shopping and he looks for things to buy his 20 year old son and relatives.

You should have brought this issue up A LONG TIME AGO. It shows he really doesn't apriciate you and would rather spend money on people he REALLY loves. You need to tell him and make him change or leave. If he can't change then he isn't the right guy for you.
I was with my Ex for 2 years and he never bought me anything, (unless it didn't cost him much). The only thing he ever bought me, was a Monopoly game for my birthday. Other then that he never bought me anything, we went dutch more often then not or I ended up footing the bill. Dates? HA, those were pretty much none existent... since we moved in together. He wasn't even romantic, I told him a few times I needed more romance in my life, he was too busy spending time and money on his cars, to spend any on me. In the end, I knew I wasn't the one for him, because he couldn't change and I broke up with him.
I am dating a new man now and he bought me a necklace after a couple of weeks of dating. He took me out for my birthday, and has paid for a couple of trips to hot springs in our area. He bought me skis for Christmas... he buys me things he likes when we go shopping. I couldn't care less about any of it, because he makes me so happy. The gifts are just a bonus... He tells me I'm beautiful everyday and tells me he loves me everyday too. Things my ex never used to say very often...
Find a man who wants to wine, dine, and romance you... he does those things because he appreciates you and loves you. Those who don't do those things, well... they are the opposite.
Absolutely nothing? No dinners, no tickets to the movies? No birthday presents, nothing?
