My boyfriend has not said I love you yet...what to do?

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost a year and a half. It did take us awhile to get serious, as he is very slow moving in the relationship department. I would say we spent the first 6 months just getting to know each other and having fun before it got a lot more serious. He is 30 and I am 24....he has said I love you to one other person. A girl he was with for 4 years a few years before he met me. The only person I have said it to is him....I told him a little before our one year. My love is continuing to grow for him, however it really makes me so sad at times that he has not said it back. I know that it is just three words...and I feel that he does show me that he loves me...but I need to hear it so badly. Does it take some people years to say it? Will he never fall in love with me?

Geez. And I was worried about my own bf not saying it after 6 months. You need to confront him or stop wasting your time. Ask him where this relationship is headed and what his intentions are. If you're not on the same page, you shouldn't wait for him too long.

Yikes a year and a half. That is a cause to worry. Have you talked to him about it? I think you need to broach the subject in a kind non confrontational way. This is something to worry about. Maybe he has issues with the word.
