yes, it is a fact of life. I live in a city that has something like a 35 % single population. Out of the last 5 women I dated, 3 were met online, one on a college course, and another at a party.
I make an effort to socialise with friends as much as I can, meeting THEIR friends, who in turn introduce me to THEIR friends and so on. It is a numbers game - I am not looking to get laid but if that rare special person comes along then fantastic. My work makes it almost impossible to meet someone of the opposite sex, and if this is the case for you you can look at evening classes or other ways to increase your social circle... MOST professions do in fact give rise to opportunities to meet potential partners (my job does not however and I am guessing yours doesn't either???). The problem is not so much meeting professional singles in their 30s as meeting someone worth pursuing something with... and that is why I call it a numbers game. To find the quality you need to get through the quantity. A decent person can expect maybe 3 quality relationship opportunities in 7 years whilst someone looking to sleep around can pick up a new casual partner a week by hanging in the appropriate bars of any town or city. It's your choice...
