Well, you could almost put the opposite spin on that; Why do some guys try to seduce a ladie when they know it won't work out?
Some people just don't take a hint or can't see it, others think its just a challenge and you're playing hard to get, and others just shower in desperation and will try anything.
I tend to just accept it as a kind of flattery and move on.
