just trying to get some outside perspective been involved in this for to long.she has no interest in stopping we all have tried to convince her(the kids and i) that she should, but nothing helps. i'm done with her emotionaly but the kids love her of course. where do i draw the line am i hurting them by allowing them to see her wasted that is to say there not alone together so they are in no physical danger but what about emotionaly is drunk mom better than no mom?

thanks for that it never occured to me that kids could go to something like that and i'll look into it.
ugh that is a tough one. of course you don't want to refuse to let them see her, but I understand your concern. There is the AlAnon support group that friends and family of alcoholics can attend, why don't you go to that with your kids and get some therapy for the family. You can't make their mom change, but you can keep your kids safe and make sure they process everything in a healthy way.
