We've been trying to have a baby for 3 years, why does it take so long?

I'm having a hard time having a baby. I'm what Hollywood calls " stick-skinny". Does certain body type affect a healthy pregnancy? Thanks.

I had a miscarriage a year ago. The pregnancy wasn't planned, but when we found out we were happy anyways.
A month after we found we were exepecting, I lost it.
My doctor said that not getting enough nutrients and a balanced diet may be part of the causes, along with stress.
I'm triying to get pregneant again now, and the doctor gave an special diet. You should see an specialist.

Sometimes it takes a while, and sometimes it doesn't. Active lifestyles, stress, diet, and tons of other things can be a factor. Remember that it takes a woman and a man to be in unison in order to have a child.

At this point (3 years) I would see a fertility doctor as someone mentioned above. BOTH of you.

Women who are very thin do sometimes have trouble getting pregnant. Female athletes sometimes don't have their periods. So one question would be are your periods regular? Have you looked at natural family planning clues like your temperature first thing in the morning to see if you are ovulating?

Another thing to consider is why are you thin - are you eating enough? Do you exercise too much? Is your metabolism off?

No matter what the reason, it would make sense to go see a doctor anyway. They can test you and give you good advice.

It has nothing to do with your body size. I have two beautiful daughters and weighed 96 lbs when i got pregnant with oldest. Im like you i have a very small frame. I think you should go see a fertility doctor to see whats goin on..

It's a egg/sperm thing not working quite right. I'm not a Doctor but there is something to do with the fact that you both are not a good fertile match in some way. I don't believe it has anything to do with your body frame.

Hope This Helps,
