I used to think that was possible, until I actually fell in love. Not to be harsh, but you could be infatuated or codependent upon more than one person - but true love manifests itself in a way where you cannot bear the thought of being with anyone else. You may be hot for two guys, but love? I doubt it.

Yes it's possible. For the first 20 years of my marriage I would have agreed with the first comment listed here, but I don't think you truly understand or know until you have experienced something like this in your own life.

I don't think it is possible to truly love two men at one time. It's not like your children, where you're capacity to love simply increases. If you love someone, then you devote your entire being to them. Your heart, soul, body, thoughts belong to that person. You cannot give your entire self to two people. If you really loved either of them, the other would cease to be important.

People like to think they can split their affections, but love is a noun and a verb that work at the same time. When you love someone, you love them for who they are and what they mean to you, but at the same time, you perform the act of love (which in romantic settings involved fidelity) by taking them into acount when making decisions and always having their best interests at heart (this can be a lover, child, sibling, parent, friend). None of this is to be confused with making love, which is strictly sexual.

I'm gonna put it out there that you probably don't "love" these two guys. You probably like them a lot, and maybe even in a sexual way (often lust is confused with love), but romantic love does not spread itself around when presented in it's true form, makes itself known to all involved. Basically, if you really love someone, you know because they are the ONLY one.

I think it's important to understand that love can be both an verb and a noun, something you do and something you can feel. And there are all kinds of different types of love. Is it wrong TO LOVE two people at the same time? Society usually says so. But is it wrong TO BE IN LOVE with two people at the same time? Sometimes you don't really have a choice. When you are in a committed relationship, it's possible to fall in love with somebody else--that's human nature. What's wrong is acting on that love. Unless, of course, you have an open relationship.

So, what should you do? Johannalyman gave some good advice. And remember, love isn't just something you fall into... it's something that you do and practice. So, in conclusion, I would start by making the pro and con list, and then choose the person that is right for you!

It's definitely possible to love two guys at once. In most cases, though, you'll have to choose one of them. Whichever you choose, feelings will be hurt. A good question to ask yourself in choosing is this: what will I most regret if I never get to see him again? Another tip is to make a list of the pros and cons of each guy (I know it sounds kind of cold-hearted, but you actually don't want your heart to have the only say in this decision.)
