The quest to find love is as old as the fairy tales we've read about; knights in shining armor coming to save damsels in distress and a kiss turning a frog into a prince. But alas, if finding love were as easy as reading fairy tales, we'd all be in better shape. The truth is, it's rough out here for various reasons I'll write about at a later date. Why make a challenging situation even harder by erecting the added barriers of race and ethnicity?

When you get down to brass tacks (okay, throwing in some Military terms as well), I really see life as only having two options. You can make it a spectator sport or you can live it on the field making the big plays. I've never had the patience to sit and watch others for very long. If it is a chance to witness mastery, like Olympic or World Level athletes, I'll invest the time. For the most part, I would rather be engaged and in action instead of being the quiet observer.
Italians do it better! Or shall I say, men from a foreign country do it better, or do they?
They say Italians do everything better: style, fashion, food, art, fun and yes, SEX. We can generalize all we want, but somewhere within lies the truth. So what is their secret? Why do they do it better?
The secret ingredient is Confidence. Italian men are confident and self-assured. They dress the part, they look the part, they act the part and they also smell the part (I have to tell you, a good smelling man can flip the switch, if you know what I mean!). They walk out the door with “I am the MAN!” written on their forehead and just make it happen.

According to a recent article, it may be human nature to keep romantic backup plans. It can happen in 1 of 2 ways; you can go into a relationship with someone and just hope your "10" comes along later or you can actually keep a backup in case your Plan A falls through. To paraphrase Jennifer Aniston from Office Space, "Uh, how is this not cheating?"
Keeping your options open may be holding you back.
MIT conducted an interesting study about the nature of decision-making. Essentially, he's arguing that eliminating options (particularly bad options) is the best way to accomplish goals. And there is a sense that inclusive (everyone's opinion counts) nature of our society could be slowing us down. So, maybe think twice before burning a bridge but certainly don't think three times. You'll be better off in the long run after the decision is made.
