The premise of What's Your Number?: After reading a magazine article that leads her to believe she will never get married and die alone, Ally Darling (Anna Faris) embarks on a journey to find her "best ex" out of the 20 guys she's been with. According to this fictional magazine article, the average person sleeps with 10.5 people before settling down, and if you've slept with 20 or more people you may have missed "The One." Thus starts Ally's search for Mr. Right. What's Your "Number?" How Many Is Too Many?
Ally should have been reading YourTango. We would never tell her that. But we digress!
The number of people you've "been with" tells a complicated story, and does not necessarily determine your chances of settling down. If you've been with a large number of people, it doesn't mean you may have missed Mr. Right — it just means you've slept around a bunch. Then again, if you've had 20 actual relationships and still haven't found someone who makes you happy, that's a different story.
No matter what your story is, it's not super-wise to lie about your past — at the very least, because someone will use Facebook pics from 2005 as evidence against you. So let's come clean. With What's Your Number? opening Fri. Sept. 30, it's time to tell us: What's YOUR number?
