Can A Change Of Scenery Save A Troubled Relationship?

When her relationship started to plateau, YourTango Editor Claire Daniel tried moving to a new town.

We took the Gatwick train out of London and made our way southwest 25 miles. The day before we were ducking out of all-you-can-eat buffets in Chinatown, still waiting to see if the position, any position, would come through. We had met in Prague: him, the Australian backpacker, and me, the American English teacher. Now in the UK, he was employable and I not. Then the word came: Positions available, couples preferred. Bar and server experience a must. All pay under the table, room and board inclusive. Start tomorrow. Watching from the window, my eyes followed the changing panorama: industrial cityscape; baguette stalls lining the commuter stops; row houses, all identical except for the garbage littered gardens, but even then, that too, took on a cloak of uniformity. We passed bleak urban villages now indistinguishable amongst the city’s sprawling grasp, yet still managing distinction if but in name only: Chiddingfold, Effingham, Limpsfield, Titsey, Leatherhead…

Arnold And Maria's Breakup Signals A New Age Of Relationships

When it comes to the Schwarzenegger/Shriver split, are we witnessing a "new age of relationships"?

In relationships, we've come a long way from the Me, Tarzan. You, Jane dynamics of our ancestors. So far, actually, that the noted biological anthropologist Dr. Helen Fisher suggests we might have come full circle. Only this time the tables have turned. Tarzan, meet Jane. Or, for your pop culture context: Me, Maria. You, Arnold. Care to meet with my divorce lawyers?

New Survey: Americans More Informed About Sex Than They Think

When in comes to sex, Americans actually do know what they are talking about.

In the twenty years since Salt-n-Pepper released their 1991 single "Let's Talk About Sex" it seems that Americans have in fact been doing just that: talking about sex—about how it is, and how it could be, how it was, and of course, how it should be! All that talking seems to have paid off! According to a new survey conducted by Zestra and YourTango.com, when asked to answer questions about female pleasure and the health benefits of sex, the majority of men and women responded correctly. Way to go!

From The Makers Of 'Little Fockers': How To Be A Good Family Man

Don't you wish Robert De Niro would keep your husband in check?

Were you among the many who trekked over the river and through the woods this past holiday weekend to catch Little Fockers on the big screen? The third movie in the very profitable Meet the Parents franchise brings back together a star-studded cast to let you in on what happened with the Focker's happily ever after. For Ben Stiller's character it's the usual story: Children. Job. Responsibilities. Of course there is the snooping father-in-law (Robert De Niro), his wife's ex-boyfriend (Owen Wilson), and a sexy prescription drug rep (Jessica Alba) to keep the story moving along. What your dear author found most interesting in the storyline was the how-to-be-a-man rubric handed down from De Niro to Stiller in preparation for the patriarchal power transfer. Are you ready to be the GodFocker? he asked. The man, as the head of the family, had three responsibilities: To provide 1) a home for his family, 2) an education for his children, 3) and to have "his financial house in order."
