We’ve got good news for any of you ladies out there who are still secretly hoping to become a real-life princess: While Kate Middleton has seemingly latched her claws into Prince William for good, Prince Harry, however, is back on the market! The 26-year-old “spare” prince reportedly ended his 5-year relationship with girlfriend Chelsy Davy, 24, after she decided to abandon her plans to work at a law firm in London and move back to home to South Africa. It seems that the long-distance aspect of their relationship proved to be too difficult for the couple, especially as Harry’s military career as a helicopter pilot left him little time for romance.
Ladies, we have some bad news for you: According to the royal rumors circulating out of Britain right now, Prince William will officially go off the market in 2012. Yes, it seems the Prince finally plans to marry his longtime girlfriend, Kate Middleton—for reals this time.
Did anyone really believe that Kate Middleton was actually pregnant? Although Star Magazine recently reported that the royal family was in a "frantic scramble to keep [the] scandal secret," we didn't believe for one moment that "Waity Katie" would risk throwing away the chance at becoming Princess Diana 2.0 and all that entails by becoming pregnant out of wedlock. (Not to mention the fact that illegitimate children are rarely ever granted royal titles.) According to Star, "William was up at his military base in North Wales when Kate called him. She was sobbing so hard, she could hardly get the words out. She told him that despite their precautions, she is pregnant."
When it comes to weddings, celebrities are not frugal, DIY-ers. And while some of the elements may be the same (there’s always a crazy wedding dress and an even crazier cake), the celebrity weddings below could rival the the average GDP of some cities in cost.
2012: End of the world, or the British Monarchy's next big come back? Rumors are circulating around Britain that Prince William will be marrying Kate Middleton in 2012. And while there hasn't been a Royal press release, per se, there have been a number of hints that have got the glossies going bonkers over the possibilities.
It looks like Prince William and Kate Middleton may be getting slightly more serious after 6 years of dating. Rumor has it that she is semi-officially moving in with him at his RAF base in Shropshire. This cohabitation is a far cry from the breakups that these two regularly appear to have. Not as far from breaking up as marriage, but maybe it's a start. Now what are we going to do with Prince Harry?
The Democratic or Republican National Conventions have nothing on royal weddings when it comes to pomp, circumstance and football fields of lace. And we mean football fields of lace in the David Beckham sense of the sport, since the only royal weddings people care about are the ones in our rainy neighbor to the east, Britain. The 100-lb. weight—excuse me, 100-kilo. weight!—to satisfy the public's bloodlust for a big froofy wedding falls squarely on the shoulders of Prince William, heir to the British throne. Unsurprisingly, the London Daily Mail reports his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, has earned the name "Waity Katie" for her willingness to wait until he proposes.
Prince William, 2nd in line to the British Throne, landed an Air Force chopper in his girlfriend's backyard. This is a pretty awesome. And it looks like he used the same helicopter to fly his brother to a bachelor party. It's good to (almost) be king.
