So, about me. Let's start from the beginning. "Hello, my name is Christina and I am a makeup junkie". It's been a sick problem since I was 14 and my mom took me to the Clinique counter. Due to my Italian/Scottish heritage my fair skin is riddled with dark under eye circles (thanks dad!). Not a good combo. After a lot of tears and a ton of begging, my mom succumbed to buying me my first makeup. Clinique Continuous Coverage Concealer and Simply Mauve Lipstick. I was in HEAVEN, and officially hooked on makeup. In one fell swoop, my circles were covered up, and I could whip out my big girl lipstick at a moments notice.

I think beauty comes from many things, and makeup is there to help you feel prettier and give you the confidence to strut your amazing self down the street. If you love blue eyeshadow, than rock on with your bad self. But, if you have a question, then venture out into the cyber space world and ask me. I won't tell you to throw away your beloved cherry red lipstick, but I might advise you to wear it on it's own, and not with that fabulous blue eye shadow.

As long as you wear a big smile on your face and attempt to laugh as much as possible I am sure you will glow. Learning to find the humor in life and laugh is half the battle. It's the only beauty secret I truly believe in. No amount of shimmer powder can ever fix a sad face. Believe me, I've tried.

I could have bought a house with all the money I've spent on makeup and skincare. Boy's and their toys...me and my makeup. I have been lucky enough to now make this passion my career.

I have over 15 years of experience as a freelance makeup artist and industry expert working in all aspects of the business, including fashion, film, television and print. My time in the makeup artistry field has led me to work on diverse projects such as music videos for Nashville Capitol records, work with CNN, the NFL channel, the Sci-Fi network and events such as the St. Jude Runway for Life, and NY Fashion Week. My artistry has been seen at movie premieres, as well as the Emmy and Oscar award ceremonies. Some of my advertising clientele has included work with Jenny Craig, and Gucci, and my celebrity clients include Carrie Fisher, Julie Christie, Valerie Bertinelli, Jason Alexander, Debi Mazar, and Emmitt Smith.

My most recent projects includes an on-air guest spot on TLC's What Not To Wear, helping to create a new modern makeup look for Miss America, and as a reoccurring on air makeup expert on the E! Entertainment morning show That Morning Show.

The Reason I Became A Helping Professional

My site is a humorous and honest take on beauty products, celebrity inspired looks, and makeup tips and tricks from professional contributors. When I started the blog I wanted to combine my passion for makeup, and the beauty industry and give readers an honest look into the world of celebrity looks. I try to create a comfortable atmosphere for my readers, and help make the world of beauty and cosmetics accessible and fun. My main goal is to convey that Beauty is something that comes from within. Your smile, the sparkle in your eyes, and the joy in your heart is what will make you gorgeous. Find the feature that you love about yourself and enhance that! Beauty is different for everyone, and being unique is what makes us special.
