7 Reasons Kissing is Good For Your Health
Happy National Kissing Day! Spice up your love life and health with more kissing.

Whether you are in a new relationship, or one that needs a break from the monotony, kissing feels good and gets your motor revved. You might be surprised to know that kissing is also good for your health. Not that you need a reason to lock lips with your lover, you might be more motivated to incorporate kissing into your daily routine after learning these 7 reasons why kissing is good for your relationship –and your health:

1. Kissing relieves stress and tension and naturally relaxes you.
Research suggests kissing releases endorphins in the brain, also know as the body’s “feel good” chemicals. These substances have a calming effect on the body and increase your overall sense of well being. Kissing provokes the same brain wave activity created by meditation, which means a really great kiss mimics that of a transcendental, spiritual experience.

2. Kissing burns calories.
Ladies, we are always concerned about our weight and constantly look for ways to raise our metabolism. Unfortunately, that usually means grueling hours at the gym. Kissing allows you to burn off calories you consumed at lunch while enjoying yourself and your partner, in the absence of the godforsaken treadmill. What could be better than that?

3. Kissing tightens facial muscles and reduces the signs of aging.
Another thing we’re obsessed with –aging. Rather than use pricy anti-aging products or take expensive trips to the spa for facials, kissing is a great way to maintain your youthful appearance. Kissing requires the use of 30 muscles in the face, which keeps the skin tight. This reduces fine lines and wrinkles and helps to preserve a youthful appearance.

4. Kissing relieves allergies.
This may seem strange, but kissing actually brings relief to those who suffer through disgusting, miserable, yucky allergies. During a 30-minute hot and heavy kissing section, histamine production is slowed considerably, which helps to relieve symptoms like sneezing, runny nose and itchy eyes, keeping adverse allergy reactions at bay.

5. Kissing helps eliminate illness and disease.
Rather than go to the doc for a vaccination, you can engage in some passionate kissing to reduce your chances of contracting a wide variety of illnesses. Making out releases antibodies that fight off disease-causing bacteria, contributing to your overall health.

6. Kissing awakens erogenous zones.
Kissing stimulates the most significant sexual organ in the human body –the brain. While some like it rough, making out is usually soft, slow and gentle, which is quite sensual, arousing and erotic. This activity heightens certain physical sensations that are not usually experienced during outright sex.
