Mother's Day: 3 Creative Ways To Show Your Love For Mom

By

Mother's Day gift ideas
When choosing a gift, consider your mom's individual approach to money.

3. Remember her Money Personality. Moms wear so many hats and give so much that at times you might not be able to tell, but every mother has a personal approach to money. Consider her approach as you prepare to honor her:

  • If she's a Saver: A plate of homemade cookies is a great gift. It shows that you put in time and effort, and it didn't cost very much.
  • If she's a Spender: A nice dinner, spectacular roses or a velvety box with a sparkly surprise would be perfect gifts for your mom.
  • If she's a Risk Taker: Rev up your creative juices for your Risk Taker mom. Consider taking her to the newest restaurant in town (only if she hasn't already beat you there), sign her up for a French cooking class, or surprise her with tickets for a summer adventure.

If you're not sure which of the five Money Personalities best sums up your mom, how about a special card with a note of thanks and love, with a link to our Money Personality Quiz? She'll learn her primary and secondary Money Personalities for free, and you'll eliminate the guessing for every future holiday. You both win! And while you're at, pick her up a copy of our new book, The 5 Money Personalities—it's truly a gift that will keep on giving!
