The Number One Leading Cause of Death in America Is?
When I ask this question to my audience at lectures, they are always astounded that the answer is: medical intervention people receive at hospitals. At the time of writing this article several years ago, deaths from medical intervention in hospitals was around 200,000 and ranked fourth behind, heart disease, cancer and stroke. A few years ago well known health researcher Gary Null N.D. and a team of researchers including MD’s, did a comprehensive study of deaths from all treatments and from infections and disease contracted while in a hospital and concluded the actual total was over 1,000,000. This made it the number one killer in America. This is approximately equivalent to ten jumbo jets crashing and killing all of their passenger’s everyday! If this was happening all airports would quickly shut down. Yet medical deaths hardly make the news. That’s how deeply entrenched our beliefs have become in the heavily marketed pharmaceutical and medical industries. My point is, not that you should never take drugs or have surgery or go to the hospital, but that they are very dangerous and should be used with extreme caution.
What is Alternative Medicine?
Drugs and surgery are useful at times and can save your life. However we have let the AMA and the pharmaceutical giants convince us that this is what we need for all of our health problems. We have been led to believe that natural methods of healing such as, good nutrition, herbs, acupuncture, chiropractic, essential oils, stress reduction methods etc., are an alternative and not of much value. These natural methods of helping the body to heal itself naturally have been mainstream medicine for 85% of the world population for thousands of years. Drugs and surgery are the alternative, if these methods fail.
Acute and Chronic Health Problems
Modern allopathic medicine is very good at diagnosis and treating life threatening, acute situations. If you have a serious infection, certain drugs can save your life. If you get into a serious accident they can put you back together again. This is great, but for most chronic health conditions that make up the vast majority of doctor visits, their treatments are not only mostly ineffective but down right dangerous.
The Doping of America
It is estimated that seventy five percent of Americans over 50, are pharmaceutical drug addicts. The medical profession and the American public have allowed the trillion dollars per year pharmaceutical industry to literally ram these dangerous drugs down their throats. Now even the A.M.A. admits that prescription drug side effects are the fourth leading cause of death in America.
