Do you desire a relationship and then the moment you enter, you're looking for the exit sign?

Working with couples makes one thing clear – we all at one point or another struggle with staying close to the people we care about most.

I am lucky to be able to work with so many people that I understand that this is normal but for those that aren’t in the coaching business, I share with you one of my favorite metaphors that describes the discomfort of being close to people.

It’s important to note that every relationship goes through their ebbs and flows of being really close and feeling distant at times. Marriage expert, John Gottman states that even in his “Love Lab” (where he conducts his research) - Master Couples all at one time or another contemplates “did I make the wrong decision?”
