Summer Sizzle for Couples
Remember the summers of your youth? They can be even more fun as Grown-Ups!
Remember the summers of your youth? They can be even more fun as Grown-Ups!

Summer is here!! Time to laze around and have gobs of fun, right? Remember that joyful elation when you were a kid and it was the very last day of school and the idle months stretched ahead, full of promise and soon-to-be-discovered adventures?

For most of us, it’s just a nostalgic feeling from yesteryear, because most jobs don’t go on hiatus just because it’s June, nor will parenting and house chores wait till the first Monday after Labor Day.

So what’s a couple to do to make the most of the summer and cement (for a lifetime) that Bestest Friendship?

Since we’re all still just little boys and girls in grown-up bodies, make it a priority this summer to rediscover and embrace that carefree, adventurous attitude with your partner. Here are some ideas that will keep the bond of friendship strong and the sex hot as the summer heats up …

Child’s Play—Imagine the very adult twists that might ‘just happen’ when you challenge your partner to “Play Doctor” (oooh, it hurts HERE), “Hide and Seek” (blindfolded), “Statues” (you must not move under any circumstances), “Tag” (you’re IT!), or “Red Light, Green Light” (yes…no…maybe???).

Swing—No, not THAT kind of swinging! (Besides, if you’re into that scene, you’re probably not reading this article). Try an amusement or theme park. Many are open late during the summer and some even offer coupons or offer reduced rates for late-day admission. You can go on all the rides, hold hands, eat candy apples and/or cotton candy. Maybe he’ll win you a Teddy Bear and you can cuddle in his arms and squeal at the Haunted House.

Parking—Alas…most drive-in movie theaters have gone the way of the dinosaur, but there are still some around. (You know, some of us wouldn’t even be around, if those theaters hadn’t been there back when). If none are nearby, you can still satisfy those thwarted teenage longings with backseat necking and heavy petting in an isolated Lover’s Lane (just ask a local teenager where) after a trip to the ice cream parlor.
