I believe that to love and be loved, to know and be known by a significant other are two core human desires. I also believe that there is more to all of us than meets the eye and that we all have within us everything we need to be whole and fully alive. In my work with couples, as an Imago Relationship Therapist, I seek to coach them in such a way that they realize all of their potential to have the relationship of their dreams and to be fully alive.
My work with individuals is guided by the same philosophy as with couples. There are other modalities that I might use such as analyzing dreams, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy, along with talk therapy.
I came to my profession as I was moving through midlife, so that in seeking wholeness, I had already begun to personally integrate traditional psychological approaches with the wisdom found in eastern spiritual traditions. Therefore, I incorporate mindfulness meditation and mind, body, spirit approaches in my personal as well as my professional life. I seek to be thoroughly present and therefore offer what is called for by your needs as a couple or individual. Getting the training as an Imago Relationship Therapist has naturally followed and enhanced all my previous work.
