About Lucy Wahl

I'm a professional organizer, working with my clients to declutter and organize their homes including closets, home offices, garages, kitchens, kids' rooms, and more. I specialize in solutions that are customized for each client and tailored to their lifestyle, always implemented from a style perspective.

My clients come to me when they’re feeling overwhelmed, experiencing a major life transition, or just plain fed up with the state of their homes.  By decluttering their space and helping them create organizational systems and routines, I help them free up the time and space to devote themselves to their families, friends, and the experiences that really matter to them.

I work with a wide variety of clients, from young professional women to thriving families and empty nesters, and greatly enjoy the relationships I build with each one. I cherish the trust each client places in me, and guarantee utmost confidentiality.

I also blog regularly about organizing: not just about useful tips, but how to think about organizing, habit forming, and consumption, trends in the organizing industry, and larger cultural themes around organizing.  I enjoy the opportunity to offer a fresh perspective on organizing in a world dominated by Pinterest “hacks”!

I founded my business, LMW Edits, in 2013, but I've been organizing my life for as along as I can remember.  I arranged every crayon box I ever owned into rainbow order and have conducted semi-annual closet edits since I was 14.  Among my friends and family, I'm a go-to shopping companion and fashion advisor.  My personal style is classic and ladylike with a sense of fun - I'll never shy away from a bold color, a horizontal stripe, or a bow.

I’m a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) at both the national level and in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I take advantage of professional development as well as collaboration with my fellow organizers.  I have an AB from Princeton University and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

When I'm not organizing, I'm involved in my community: I chair a fundraising committee for the Junior League of San Francisco, serve on the event committee of March of Dimes San Francisco, sit on the board of Counterpulse, and volunteer as a member of the National Ski Patrol at Alpine Meadows Resort.   My husband, Andrew, and I live with our dog, Petunia, in San Francisco.
