Remember when you were in school and first learning about negative and positive perhaps in science class. Often they would give you two magnets to demonstrate the powers of negative and positive – how they work together and attract each other. Then you would turn one of those magnets around and they would always oppose each other. You would try to make them connect, but the force of the energy would work against your efforts and if you let one go, it would push itself away. Life works in much the same way, only you are the magnet.
As a magnetic force in this universe you have the power within you to turn negative situations into positive ones. Eventually, when that mindset takes over, you can face any negative situation and flip it around to something that works for you instead of against you, and with practice and time, it becomes easier and easier. Once you master this innate ability, you’ll wonder why you waited so long.

When the universe throws something our way that seems devastating or negative, we have two choices. We can feed into that negative energy and in doing so attract more negativity into our lives, or we can turn things around and discover the possibilities that this negative situation has really opened us up to. In doing the latter, we are building up our core energy, making the light within us brighter, stronger and as we know, light only expands. Soon we begin to see the positive side of every negative, and like a reflex it becomes our natural reaction.
We often focus on all of the negatives around us and although positivity is facing us square in the face, we don’t see it, we often look over and around it, almost as if we are seeking the more familiar negatives. We dwell on the negative and by doing so, we invite other negative energy to embrace us and connect with us. Your magnetic self wants only to connect with the positive, and when we fight against that inner desire, we cause more struggle and conflict. We find ourselves pull away from making positive connections, thinking we don’t deserve it or thinking that nothing connects that easily for us, and we wind up standing alone, isolating ourselves from making those positive connections.

If we just allow ourselves to be open and available to the abundance of joy and peace and love that is out there waiting for us, we can allow that energy to flow freely towards us creating positive outlooks and outcomes to negative situations. By doing this, we keep attracting more and more positive energy our way.
When things change on us, we are far more ahead of the game if we have already shifted our thinking a little and we can see that change is not an ending, but a new beginning. If you lose a job, you’re not unemployed, you’re free to find your life’s purpose, to reinvent yourself and find something that not only pays the bills, but makes your soul sing. If you lose a home, you might have to live somewhere you never thought to live and find that it is just where you’re supposed to be at that moment. If you lose someone special in your life, you come to value and appreciate your own life and all the people in your life and maybe even try to get closer with them because you know they may not always be there.
