This has totally happened to me while dancing my way through a Zumba class, but it can happen anytime, anywhere. In this sort of situation, prevention really is the best solution – if you are wearing the right support and coverage (and size!), it's less likely something will rip, tear, or fall off mid-workout. But also, be diligent. Every time you do laundry, check seams and snaps, closures, zippers, and buttons. If something needs to be mended, do it before you are sorry. Of course, clothes can be in perfect condition and still have issues! The ultimate wardrobe malfunction is unintentional nakedness – and clothes CAN be stolen at the gym if you don't lock them up. Always lock your things–valuable or not. Try to keep a spare pair of workout clothes in your office or car. Just in case you have an issue, you need something to change into.
