With the change of the season and the beginning of a new quarter, now is a good time to take a look at all those “New Year’s Resolutions”; what have you done towards accomplishing them? Did you forget about them? Are you tired of starting a task but not finishing it, or feeling stuck and unhappy? It is time to wake up and bloom during this spring. Spring is typically a season most people think that rebirth and renewal happens. Yes that means it is time to get up off your butt and start to put energy and time behind your heart’s desires. There is no more room for excuses during this spring. Step into a place of commitment. Commit to your growth; investing in yourself is one of the best investments you can make in your lifetime. So if working out is what you told yourself you would do then do it, if looking for a new job is what you told yourself you would do then do it, if saving money is what you told yourself you would do then do it. Pay close attention to what you are saying to yourself because the more you say you are going to do something and don’t do it; you are dishonoring yourself and creating a space of not trusting yourself. You don’t want that, do you? Then stop it now, right now, use your power and do what you say you are going to do. Start working on a new routine for this spring. It takes about six weeks to develop a new habit. Are you ready?
You also may be hearing people talk about spring cleaning during this time of year; and they think of it as a time that they have to clean their house, garages and switch their closet externally and quite frankly it is an opportunity to check your internal inventory and clean up what’s going on inside and make a switch. Your house can be used as a symbol of your body, your garage can be used as a symbol of your mind and your closet can be used as a symbol of your heart. You need to be brutally honest with yourself about where you are in your life and take complete ownership this the way you can truly do a proper spring cleaning. Through this cleaning you can begin to plant your seeds that will reap success.
Here are three key ways that you can bloom…
1. Align With Your Creator
You have been created for a specific life assignment yet you tend be distracted by life’s noise. Begin to listen to your gut feeling because that is your Creator speaking to you. Also be open to receive messages from nature and other people. Your Creator has made you an unlimited being so tapping into that source is profound way for growth.
2. Change Your Mind
Remember tiny changes make huge results. Become present in each moment. It takes consistent practicing to master changing your mind. You have about 60,000 thoughts a day; start crafting a change within for your negative thoughts and develop a new perspective.
Write down your plans/vision and read it often. Also get someone to hold you accountable, a friend, family member, or a coach. You will be surprised how your levels of commitment and productivity will increase.
As Neale Donald Walsch said, “by your decisions you paint a portrait of who you are”. Use this new season to bloom into your authentic self. Stay focused and encouraged; what new decisions will you choose to make during this spring?
