I was chatting over dinner with a good friend of mine, Nitika, she is the founder of yourbellalife.com and was previously a client of mine, when she said something interesting.
I grew up with Jain dharma, one of the oldest religions in the world. I have mentioned before it is more of a philosophy than a religion. Shall we say a way of life. In Jain dharma we believe that every human being has the ability to reach a god-like state. This means our soul has the ability to be enlightened. Enlightenment simply means complete knowledge, happiness, and eternal bliss.
So, I basically grew up knowing that divinity is who I really am. That very understanding has shaped the person I am today. Now I tell you this not because you have to believe in what I believe in, however, can we agree that we are all trying to understand who we are and be happier in our lives within the human experience? If so, then we are on the same page.
Getting back to what Nitika said to me. I don't think you really understand what you do for women. You don't just help them find love, you help them get honest and stand up for who they really are, so they can have big love. The words flew out of her mouth and hit me in my gut.
