New Year, New Vision [EXPERT]

New Year
Are visions of the new year fresh in your mind?
How can you begin the new year with a clean slate and a fresh vision of the future?

There is nothing like the first day of a new year. For me, this is the time where I am able to begin a clean slate with which to create something new. It is the perfect occasion to take some time for reflection and introspection. It's time to let go of the past year and make a vision for the year ahead.

Visioning is one of my favorite topics and a creation tool that I have used more than any other. Visioning works because it bypasses our logical linear mind. Our minds are very good at many things, but our minds can get in the way of us making our dreams come true...and that is the place where our fears and doubts hang out. Feeling Worried Or Uncertain This Holiday Season? EXPERT

The inner critic and fearful ego can take a hold of a heartfelt desire and turn it into mush. Luckily, you can use the visioning process to bypass the mind because your mind doesn't know the difference between reality and imagining things. You do this all the time when you imagine negative things. The imagination is wickedly vibrant in that arena, isn't it?

You might as well use your imagination to help you create the future you desire. Visioning is simply using this natural talent and accessing your imagination in a way that works to your benefit.

Since this is one of my favorite subjects, I have experimented with hundreds of ways to create a vision. Over the month of January, I will be sending out my top tips on this subject so you can pick the one that will help you make 2012 a year to remember. You might want to get a jump on that right now!

Imagine it is New Years Eve 2012 and you are reminiscing about the year with a good friend. Soft focus for just a minute.

What would you like to hear yourself say about this year?
What are the new elements in your life?
What changes have you made?
What new habits did you begin and then stick with all year that added up to a satisfying amount of success?

Whether you want to have a new romantic partner, let go of a current romantic partner, have success in your work life or do something adventurous, starting with a vision is always useful.

Before I go any farther I want to give you the one most important element of visioning that many people miss. It is meant to be fun!! Visioning will not be effective if you make it one more thing you have to do. This is playtime people! Let go of any serious thinking about this process and I promise you will have fun and create something seriously amazing.

I will be highlighting ways to go about using these exercises in upcoming Kat Flash messages. I would love to add your experience to the mix. Please let me know your favorite ways of visioning or questions you have so I can share them with my readers.

Below are just a few of the visioning processes I think are fun:

Journaling: A daily or weekly writing about the aspects of your life. Why Writing A Memoir Will Change Your Life EXPERT
Collaging: Your ideal life vision, through pictures, that are put together as a visual inspiration for yourself.
Writing: To begin, put yourself in a particular setting 5 years in the future.

Look Before You Leap! Today's subject is a little odd for me. I am usually the one cheering people on to take the LEAP into new and uncharted territory. In my work as a life coach, this is one of my favorite experiences to have with my clients. To encourage them to take risks and to do the things they are longing to do but have been afraid of ... The OTHER-Mother

The OTHER-Mother When Mother's Day approaches each year, I usually go down memory lane a bit. I remember my own mother who passed away in 1970 at the age of 44. I take some time to commune with her spirit and thank her for all she imparted to me before she departed this earth. I also think of my own children and the wonderful experience I have had ... Just For Fun!

Just For Fun! When I first started out as a Life Coach I was looking at possible niches for myself. One day I was listening to a talk radio show with a few of my favorite commentators discussing the issues of the day. The conversation turned to their personal lives and the subject of FUN came up. One of them said, "Fun? What's that? Having fun ... Read more
