The Reason I Became A Helping Professional

I came to this work having gone through not one, not two but three very painful break ups with my ex fiancée and future life partner which left me feeling betrayed, shocked and completely perplexed.

I was in a 3-year relationship with the love of my life. We were engaged and ready to get married.  Like me, he too was an opera singer and I couldn’t think of a better match. I had finally found my knight and shining armor.  At the beginning he was extremely into me and very persistent.  He just wouldn’t take no for an answer and that was not only flattering but quite new for me and exhillerating. After we got engaged things changed drasticly and within a few months Prince Charming had turned to Mr. Doesn't Pay the Rent.  I became the provider and as things unraveled everything from our communication to trust fell away. I began to suspect infedelity. He denied it and turned my inquiry into my low self confidance.  I was devistated and began to do some deep work on myself. 

In the process of my self work I began to see the reality of our lopsided relationshp. I learned my true value and started to see what I really wanted- what I was capable of having and creating.

From this life experience I know exactly the turmoil a breakup can be. And even more clearly, I know just how transformational it can be to turn all of that into the life of one's dreams. That transformation is why I have chosen this path.
