How to Take Care of the Woman You Are Dating 101

Women today are fiercely independent, busy go-getters with a ton of goals, aspirations and responsibilities.  Many women are putting themselves through school, working their way up the professional ladder, caring for family members and myriad other things, and doing it all without breaking a visible sweat. This might lead a man to believe that a woman doesn’t need a man’s help. But this couldn’t be further from the truth. Women like this are very much in need of a partner who will care for her, love her, support and protect her. Just because a woman is strong and perfectly capable of taking care of herself doesn’t mean she wouldn’t like a good man by her side to lighten the load and ease the burden. If you want to do this for the woman in your life, here are some ways to go about it:

Make her life easier in any way you can. It can be something as small as being the one to call the plumber or cable company, take out the trash or keep her gas tank full. Women are constantly multi-tasking. A man who’s willing to take even one or two things off that incredibly long to-do list will be appreciated and greatly rewarded. Just think, if she’s less stressed, she’ll be far more interested in pleasing you, physically or otherwise.

Anticipate her needs.

If you’re paying attention, you have or at least are beginning to figure out what the woman in your life needs to function. For her, it may be a strong cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of red wine in the evening. She may like to read the newspaper on Sunday mornings. Why not assist with that by ensuring she has these things as her disposal? It goes a long way and can make a huge difference in the way she relates to you. It will also make her want to do the same for you.

Ask her if she needs anything. There is something very sexy about these words: “You need anything, babe?" It shows your willingness to do things for her. Even if she tends to say no or that she’s okay, it means a lot to know that the man in her life cares about what she wants and wants to meet her needs.

Listen to her.

This can be tough for men. Many women like to talk, and oftentimes it may be about things men don’t really want to hear about. Well, get over it. If you’re truly interested in showing you care about your lady, actively listen to her when she talks to you about her hopes, dreams, desires, needs, things that make her happy, things that drive her crazy, etc. Active listening means that you make eye contact with her, face her as she’s speaking and say things to let her know you understand. Also, show genuine interest in what she has to say. This will do so much for your relationship. Believe it or not, when a woman feels  truly heard and understood, she probably won’t feel the need to talk as much. Give it a shot!

Support her.
