One fall evening in 2011 Co-founders Erika &Trey were frustrated with trying to find fun and affordable things to do for their date night and thought it would be great to have a one stop resource for finding fun, affordable activities other than Dinner & a Movie. Being familiar with the daily deal craze and growing popularity of online dating, they wanted to provide a convenient resource for date ideas at attractive prices. They launched Valentine's Weekend 2012 at local Atlanta event called STIR where the theme was “Power of Love.” Their commitment to keep their own relationship exciting is the constant driver behind GreatDateDeals. In essence, GreatDateDeals is an extension of the two of them and their relationship.
