It may sound like the most worn-out piece of advice, but taking even small amounts of time to enjoy your personal life will improve your professional one. A study done by the American Psychological Association found that women have higher levels of stress than men when it comes to money, job stability and the economy. Those are all well-founded concerns but worrying about them won’t make them go away. Even on your busiest days, find a few minutes to step away from your computer or phone. Take a walk in your neighborhood or near your office. Go in a quiet room and pray or meditate. Use your lunch break to take a Yoga or aerobics class. By removing yourself from the everyday stresses, you will be able to recharge your batteries and better attend to your work tasks.
