What are the five hottest jobs out there right now? What gigs should you be looking for if you’re job hunting? CareerBuilder, which links thousands of employees with companies, crunched its data and found five jobs where there's a shortage of good employees.

The good news is if you’ve been unemployed, the economy is looking better! “The labor market in the U.S. has stabilized, and there are an increasing number of areas where the demand for skilled positions is growing much faster than the supply,” said Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder. “Some positions may require additional education or certifications while others may offer on the job training. It’s important to keep an open mind and look for those opportunities that have good prospects both in the short-term and long-term.”

1. Account Executive (sales representative)

Number of jobs on CareerBuilder: 58,000

Mean national salary: $85,000

Example of who’s hiring: ADP – Automatic Data Processing, Inc.

Top college majors: Business Administration, Accounting and Marketing

Average level of education: 50% have a bachelors degree and 22% have a masters degree or higher

2. Net Developer (mobile developer, Web developer, software developer)

Number of jobs on CareerBuilder: 14,000

Mean national salary: $85,000

Example of who’s hiring: Hewlett-Packard

Top college majors: Computer Science, Business Administration and Management Information Systems

Average level of education: 49% have a bachelors degree and 37% have a masters degree or higher

3. Financial Analyst (business analyst, credit analyst, accountant)

Number of jobs on CareerBuilder: 31,000

Mean national salary: $65,500

Example of who’s hiring: Accountemps, a Robert Half Company

Top college majors: Business Administration, Accounting and Finance

Average level of education: 49% have a bachelors degree and 37% have a masters degree or higher
