I Believe

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in the Murray Hill neighborhood of New York City.  I work with persons ages 18+ who have trouble coping with anxiety, depression, relationship, and other interpersonal issues.  I work primarily within the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy orientation (CBT), using empirically supported treatments.

I specialize in helping people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I have over four years of training with a world renowned expert in OCD and have extensive training in using Exposure and Response Prevention techniques. I commonly treat Phobias, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Eating Disorders.

My initial training was Behavioral Neuroscience and I completed three years postdoctoral training in Clinical Psychology. I have an extensive research background investigating gender differences in the neurological responses of drug addiction.

I am a compassionate, empathetic psychologist who understands the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship and clinical understanding of your issues so that we can work together to achieve your goals. This contributes to the success of my clients.
