PMS Be Gone

PMS Be Gone
Each month many women begin a monthly roller coaster ride

According to USA Today, hormone replacement therapy is the second most prescribed drug in the U.S.A and is taken by 40% of postmenopausal women.

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that older women who aren't already suffering hot flashes won't feel more youthful, active or vibrant by taking hormone replacement therapy (HRT). That conflicts with long-standing claims for therapy.

An analysis in JAMA questioned the drug's efficacy for preventing fractures due to osteoporosis, a primary reason women take HRT.

The American Heart Association, according to the USA Today article, knocked down the conventional wisdom that HRT protects aging women from heart disease.

Worse, according to the article, those heart studies came on top of new evidence of estrogen's health dangers. In 1995, a study found that women on long term hormone therapy have a higher risk of breast cancer than women who never take hormones.

Just about every woman entering her 50's must choose whether to take hormone therapy. JAMA wants to know, why are doctors prescribing HRT with increasing frequency, despite the growing evidence that it is less helpful and more harmful than originally believed?

What if you are younger than 50? Many women start to develop symptoms of PMS in their late teens and early twenty's. They live with the symptoms until the symptoms get severe enough to seek treatment. What if you could arrest the problem now and not have to suffer for years before you seek treatment?

The symptoms of hot flashes and hormonal imbalance may be caused by a multitude of reasons, but the basic reason is that there is an incorrect relationship between the hormones, progesterone and estrogen or the minerals of calcium and potassium. Remember a woman's cycle is based on her hormones and her nervous system. Hormones are created from fatty acids and the nervous system is run on the minerals, calcium and potassium. The other overlooked piece is the huge important role that enzymes play in the digestion of the diet and the absorption of the nutrients and minerals to run the nervous and hormonal systems.

Did you know that once a person passes the age of forty, they no longer digest efficiently? Coupled with the fact that our foods lack the concentration of nutrients that they once had because of over-farming, and the use of pesticides, even if you eat the best diet in the world, it is hard to get adequate nutrition. When the body is nutritionally deprived for a long enough period of time, symptoms of hot flashes, nervousness, irritability, emotional instability, depression, and possibly headaches, edema, and painful breasts can appear. (PMS). Enzyme Nutrition helps get nutrients passed an incompetent digestive system to help support the general health and well-being of the body.
