I started off setting a new year resolution of reading 52 books and watching 52 DVDs at the start of 2013.
By the end of June, I realized I was going to read more than 52 books by the end of year (57 to be precise), and so I decided to challenge myself by doubling the goal (104). By end of September, I again hit my goal of 104, and decided to just keep going, not to prove any point, but because I love reading and I was doing it for me.
In case you're curious, I read 152 books in 2013 and did meet my 52 DVDs goal this year (by July 30th), but stopped watching them altogether in favor of reading.
You can click here to read my entire book list. I'm sharing it because I figured it would be more interesting to you.
These are the 10 books I want to recommend from my 2013:
The Untethered Soul
The Story of Alec
The Introvert Advantage
Start with Why
How One of Us Can Bring The Two of You Together
The Sex-Starved Marriage
For Women Only
The 8 Essential Truths of Couples Who Thrive
The Happiness project
For Men Only
In this video, you'll see me recommending 10 of the 152 books I read, and explaining why, so be sure to watch it!
I want to keep reading what I'm interested in, to enjoy the process — to not just read for the sake of reading, and keep learning, growing, and developing myself professionally and personally. I aim to read 200 books in 2014, so stay tuned!
