How To Quickly And Easily Overcome Your Fears
Is fear keeping you from living your dreams? Try these tips to overcome fear today.

Last week I was working with a bright, accomplished woman who is ready to further her career.  A perfect opportunity has presented itself to her in the form of a dream job yet my client is refusing to apply for the job.  When I asked her why she said, “Because I can’t learn PowerPoint.”  Now I’m POSITIVE that she can learn PowerPoint in a day or so yet she has convinced herself with some silly story that she can’t do this.  Needless to say she and I are having some serious discussions with her silly storyteller!

So what have you been avoiding?  There are almost always only two reasons that we avoid something.  The first is that it’s a task that we find mundane or boring and the second is that we are afraid of it.  Think about when you’ve taken your young children to the doctor to get a shot.  Most kids will do anything possible to postpone getting that shot and as parents we can see how silly that is.  Yet why is it that so many of us do the same thing with our own fears?  Go get that shot, it really only hurts for a second and the benefits last for years.

This week I sent one of my children off to college and my other two off to high school. If the news is any indication of the state of the world, I should probably be terrified to death.
