Is Tiger Woods' Cheating Habits REALLY An Addiction?

Stop the act!
Heartbreak reports Tiger Woods confessed to cheating on his girlfriend of three years. reports Tiger Woods confessed to cheating on his girlfriend of three years. "But it wasn't with anyone special. He really wanted Lindsey [Vonn] to be the one. But he blew it again. He can't help himself. He's got an addiction. He relapsed," the source said.

While the Traditional Western Psychiatric protocol labels an affair a sexual addiction, the label is a misnomer. Society needs to take a hard look at what is created when behavior induced by psychological pain is labeled an addiction.

Originally the term addiction was conceived and defined as physical and psychological dependence on psychoactive substances (alcohol, tobacco, heroin and other substances).

Subsequently, addiction was broadened to include any persistent, compulsive dependence on a behavior or substance. Henceforth, every symptom can be labeled an addiction. AddictionZ, [Types of Addictions A-Z for single and multiple addicts, shopping, internet, food as well as more standard Drug, alcohol, and gambling addictions.] Victoria BC Canada has compiled a list of 110 additions as set forth by Western/Allopathic Medical Criteria.

Western/Allopathic theory and protocol fail to recognize symptoms are inexplicably within the person's beliefs, thoughts, feelings, and actions. Every symptom can be more accurately defined as an expression of the person's indoctrination, conditioning, beliefs, and lifestyle.

Cancer is not a tumor, for example. It is a systemic reaction that can only truly be eliminated by helping to support the body's natural functions in Mind, Body, and Spirit, not by attacking it with toxic chemical bombs and knives. The tumor is simply one physical expression of the systemic issue and simply removing the tumor with toxic chemicals or knives does nothing to eliminate the symptoms in the long-term. This phenomenon is evidence when the symptom reoccurs elsewhere. Whereas; when the symptoms are treated as an expression of the person's beliefs, indoctrination, conditioning and lifestylea complete transformation is created in Mind, Body, and Spirit.

The Mind, Body, and Spirit are inexplicably interconnected with the Universal Laws. The Universal Laws are founded on the understanding that everything in the universe is energy and everything is interrelated. Thoughts, feelings, words and actions are all forms of energy. What one thinks, feels, says, and does in each moment comes back to one to create one's reality. The combined beliefs, thoughts, words, feelings, and actions of everyone creates a collective consciousnessit creates the world one sees. Thus, transformation in Mind, Body and Spirit is possiblegiven the system has the proper care-nutrition, herbal and mineral supplements, emotional, physical and spiritual support.

The decision to label those who engage in multiple and irresponsible sex acts, including sex with a child as a sex addiction is foolhardy because the sexual behavior is the result of a compulsion that has a direct link to his/her emotional, physical and sexual trauma. Men or women, who engage in the sexual exploitation or irresponsible sexual behavior are sexual or physical abuse survivors. He/she is using sex with others, including children as a way to cope, to numb or distract him/herself from the mental, emotional, physical and sexual pain from his/her own abuse.

Frequently, the person is seeking a similar experience to the mental, emotional, physical, and sexual pain he/she endured as a child. Unknown to him/her, he/she is creating the moth to the flame scenario. In other words, the person merely rationalizes his/her behavior and does not believe he/she is exploiting or harming the other person. He or she might vow to stop such sexual acts, but when the compulsion to relieve the mental, emotional, physical and sexual pain becomes too great; he/she will re-engage in exploitative or irresponsible sexual behavior.

It is a compulsion that she/he cannot stop. He/she will act on his/her compulsion to mitigate the pain if only for a brief period albeit at the peril of public embarrassment and/or professional ruin. For example:  former Mr. Universe, movie star, former California Governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Senator, Presidential candidate, John Edwards,  U.S. House Representative, Anthony Weiner, former President, Bill Clinton, Senator John McCain, Senator Newt Gingrich, former Senator and Presidential candidate, Gary Hart, NYC Mayor, Rudy Guiliani, Champion Golfer, Tiger Woods, former and late president, John F Kennedy,  former and late president, Franklin D. Roosevelt and many others. Even the threat of being arrested, convicted and serving time in prison in the case of child sexual abuse does not deter them, because the pain is beyond his/her ability to override its excruciating effect, he/she cannot merely stop the compulsion.

Transforming the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual issues for anyone who has sexually exploited or abused anotherno matter the reasonis possible. An innovative and highly effective process to achieve deeper and total transformation can be achieved. The process is direct, focused and combines transforming the past while creating a foundation for the future. People quickly make a subtle and effective transition to self-discovery and empowerment.

Transforming mental, emotional, physical and spiritual issues at the core addresses the all-important relationship to one's true nature - thus transforming the indoctrination and conditioning. Transforming the psychological indoctrination and conditional patterns and unconscious beliefs that arise from the personal histories and adaptations effectively transforms the mind, body, and spirit. One transforms how one feels, senses, and experiences global consciousness, as well as one's individual consciousness, like never before. The Emotional, Physical, Spiritual Transformation (EPST) approach addresses the three critical aspects of one's true being, thus opening the door to true balance, emotional wellbeing and peace of mind.

Well-being and peace of mind come from the understanding of the Self, the family, the community in which one lives, and the global community of which one is a part of. We are each one heart of the Whole; each heart is here to express its unique piece of the Whole. Knowing Self creates a sense of "I as a piece of this Whole," different and one at the same time.

The final answer to eliminating sexual infidelity is stopping what creates people to sexually exploit and sexually abuse, thus eliminating recidivism.
