For best utilization by the body, it should be cooked into your food, not sprinkled on later.
If you feel drawn to study Macrobiotics, you can learn to fine-tune your eating (and other elements of your life) to continually balance the elements of yin and yang in the most beneficial way.
I cannot recommend Reiki too highly! I've been using it since 1991, and it has transformed my life in indescribable ways. It's a very simple and excellent way of keeping us connected with our true Self — and, the more we are manifesting the true Self, the healthier and happier we are!

Discovering who we really are, and accepting and being true to that is indeed the key to happiness. And happiness is the key to health. When we are truly, deeply happy, we are at peace and all is well...! And Reiki is a practice that puts us very easily into that state of peacefulness and well-being.
Reiki is a practice, and it's also a particular energetic vibration; it's the most-subtle, highest-frequency manifestation of our spiritual Source in the physical realm. As such, it is present in everything physical — and, what we call Reiki practice is a way of increasing our awareness of the Reiki energy and using it to bring in more Source-energy from the spiritual realm. In other words, a way of increasing our Self-realization and Self-manifestation — the side effects of which are happiness and health! : ^ )
Are you willing to spend 30 minutes a day on real health insurance?
Instead of spending money every month on so-called health insurance — betting that something terrible is going to happen to you — are you willing to spend 30 minutes per day on real health insurance, to ensure that something terrible doesn't happen? If so, then Reiki may be a perfect thing for you.
If you spend a half hour waking up in the morning before getting out of bed — that's a perfect half hour for your daily Reiki session! If you're one of those people who jumps out of bed the minute your eyes open — then you may like to open them a half hour earlier and stay in bed and do Reiki... : ^ ) Or you may like to do it before falling asleep at night (especially if you ever have trouble getting to sleep). Of course, you can do the Reiki anytime you like, whenever it works best for you — and you can do more than 30 minutes per day! But, if your health is reasonably good now and your lifestyle is generally healthy, 30 minutes of Reiki per day will probably keep you healthy and even increase your health.
