Single This Season? Celebrate Your Breakup With A Party

From the chair in my living room in my beautiful new second floor apartment, I would contemplate these questions as I looked out the big bay window from my sparsely decorated living room with my second hand furniture.
I would watch the sun set every evening as I thought about my life. This was my solace and my comfort. The sun always set in just about the same place every evening and if I couldn't see it, I knew it was there. I finally had a little more stability in my life, I was single, looking at the past, into the future, and checking out my new Christmas tree

I had my very own place to live, I was no-longer homeless and couch surfing, so there was only one thing I could do. Extend my social network and meet other singles, especially single men. I wanted to be in love someday and it wasn't going to happen by itself. It was time for some holiday cheer. Feel better during the holidays.
So I decided to grab a couple bottles of cabernet, a list of my favorite singles and some mouth-watering recipes. My first singles dinner party was a hit. The 12 of us had not only amazing food, and plenty of wine, there was a lively gift exchange with great conversations about food, life and love. We were all having the time of our lives that twinkly night. My friend Howard even washed all the dishes after dinner.

My best girlfriend got together with an awesome man that night. I'm not sure what started it. Maybe it was the wine, maybe it was the candles, maybe it was the twinkle in her eyes, or even my bruschetta. But really, I think it was holiday magic. They have been together every day since.
