You finally went out with that cutie pie iloverocks69 from match.com. You met for brunch and it was amazing. He looked at you like no one has looked at you in a long long time; he pulled out your chair, and even helped you with your jacket; when you both picked up your menus, his hand brushed yours, and it was electric.

Not only was he chivalrous, you felt like 15 monarch cocoons just hatched in your stomach. This guy was a keeper. On the first date, he also made you cry from laughing so hard. I'm in no way advocating that you hire a private detective, but I was dating someone online and he mentioned that the separation with his ex got ugly, and was put in the paper. What kind of ugly are we talking about here? And why the heck was it in the paper?

He was honest in telling me upfront that there were some issues in his past, and I'm not one to judge. But, when things are public record and in the local paper, breaking and entering is one of the things on my not acceptable list.

I was dating someone online from another website, and he told me — and everyone else we ran into — about his job as a paramedic, and an emergency medicine professor at a local college. Traveling Solo? How To Meet Men On Vacation

I just happened to be strolling on the ol' local college website and they didn't have an emergency medicine curriculum, or any other major that was even slightly related. However, they did have a guy with the same first name that happened to be a janitor. Maybe that was just a coincidence and he didn't even work there.
