Why Dating A Friend Can Be A Good Idea [EXPERT]
Do you have feelings for one of your friends?
Will dating a friend produce a great dating relationship or just ruin a great friendship?

Let's just face it. Every girl has a male friend that she wouldn't mind dating. You start off strictly platonic, then something weird happens along the way … you start to like him. Many women think that the feeling is often one-sided; but it's not.

Most men are open to dating different types of women, even when you are already friends. Unfortunately dating tips for women won't answer all your questions, but it will be an aid in deciding if you should date him, or keep things as they are.

Altering a state of friendship for a deeper relationship may not lead in the direction you are hoping to gain. I'm sure that this will come at no surprise that having a friend of the opposite sex can sometimes be very difficult. Just think about it, if he's a friend you must have plenty of things in common. He may also know you very well, making it very easier to confide in him about all of your life experiences. Pretty soon, he becomes the best thing about your day (which has a happy and scary feeling all at the same time).

If you feel that you may be falling for your friend, be sure to keep communication open. If you have decided to date, express the expectations you may require while dating. Be mindful that these changes may feel uncomfortable at first, so be patient with this transition. The first stages of transitions are normally the most critical moments in the new relationship with your friend.

Start by casually seeing each other out of your normal settings. Choose new places to go and try to go alone. Allowing the influence of others during this transition could be risky. Remember that you are not the only ones use to the friendship. Other mutual friends may be skeptical of the idea. Though they mean no harm, their first expressions could be taken the wrong way.

Ultimately, if you are thinking of dating a friend, you should definitely make time to converse about the idea. Giving your friend a heads up on your thoughts is less risky than planting a kiss on him unexpectedly. Sure, he could kiss you back, or your actions could confuse him and cause him to question the reason for the friendship.

If you are good friends, you should be able to discuss anything. He may even be aware of your feelings already, and is waiting for you to approach the subject. Whatever the case, trust your friendship. Be sure to discuss the effect of the friendship is the proposed dating trial doesn't work out. At that point decide if you want to take a chance, or stay as you are.
