About Karen D. Sacks

Karen D. Sacks has always been passionate about helping people. For almost 30 years, she has counseled individuals, couples and groups during some of the most difficult times in their lives. Karen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator and Parenting Coordinator. Specializing in children of divorce, Karen has effectively helped many families with issues involving communication problems, divorce and parenting.

Karen’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport, a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Long Island University as well as post-graduate work at Florida Atlantic University. She is certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors and is affiliated with many organizations including South Palm Beach County Bar AssociationAmerican Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA)Collaborative Law TeamIllinois Counseling Association (ICA)Mental Health Association of Palm Beach County (MHA)Florida Mental Health Counselors Association (FLMHCA)Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), and International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
Karen is consistently discovering new ways to extend her expertise and compassion into the community. She served on the Board of Directors for P.A.N.D.O.R.A. (Patient Alliance for Neuroendocrineimmune Disorders Organization for Research and Advocacy).  She is a past board member of the Public Policy Committee serving individuals with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS), Gulf War syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivity (MCS), multiple sclerosis (MS) and other related illnesses.

As the founder/director of the CRS, Karen is devoted to the families she has the opportunity to work with.
