About Cristy Lopez

I am a psychologist, coach, speaker, consultant, author, and founder of the Peace Process for Transforming Your Relationships, Business/Career, and Life. I have helped thousands of clients over the past 25 years achieve greater success in all areas of life with less stress!

Has life not turned out the way you thought? Unsatisfied or unhappy with your work, home, or relationships? Engaging in the same unhealthy patterns (e.g., unsuccessful relationships, problems sleeping, excessive eating, spending, working, worrying)? Feeling helpless, hopeless, confused, or overwhelmed? Life doesn’t have to be this way.

I will help you achieve a more satisfied, productive, and successful life. I will help you explore your problems in a comprehensive and holistic manner while simultaneously helping you work toward solutions you can begin implementing today.

I work with individual adults, couples, adolescents, and families experiencing a variety of problems. I utilize treatments that help people feel and do better. Clients are given action plans to work on in between sessions. I also provide coaching for those interested in personal and professional growth. Extended sessions available.

Media: Seen on the Dr. Phil show, I serve as a treating psychologist for Arizona guests. I’ve served the same role for Dr. Drew's Lifechangers. I appeared on the reality TV series Downsized as the marital therapist for the couple followed on the show. I have appeared in local news/information programs as well as serve as a guest expert for radio programs. I’ve been published in both scholarly journals and books pertaining to mental health and treatment. I’ve been quoted in newspapers and national magazines.

Education and Training: B.A. Psychology from the University of California-Berkeley; M.A. and Ph.D. Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia; clinical internship at the University of Illinois-Chicago; post-doctoral fellowship ASU; clinical residency at a local psychology clinic. I am a voracious consumer of continuing education programs and research about the latest understanding of human behavior and how to prevent/stop maladaptive behaviors while developing and promoting adaptive behaviors. I am a published author and speaker.
