A journey of self-exploration begins with that first page.

Hi everyone,

It's time to think about love, sex and ourselves.

I am currently reading The Ethical Slut: A Practical Guide to Polyamory, Open Relationships & Other Adventures, by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy. This book is terribly inspiring and educational. It is not just about learning how to navigate multiple relationships, it is about learning about yourself. Learning to ask yourself "Who am I"? "What do I need/desire from others"? "What can I do for others"? "What can I do for myself"?

You also learn to set boundaries, own your feelings, and empower yourself to take responsibility for how you feel, think and behave. This book has vital questions to help an individual get to the bottom of their true desires, if the person is willing to be honest and transparent with themselves first, and then with others.

This book is useful to anyone wanting to learn about themselves, their sexuality, their boundaries, and how to communicate all that to partners or potential partners. Whether you want to have multiple partners or not, this book will help you discover freedom, acceptance, respect, and love from the people in your life and from yourself.

From the first page, this book has been vitally useful to me. I have decided to blog about my journey of learning to be a more "Ethical Slut". I will share my feelings and thoughts as they arise. Where you to open my copy, you would find this book has quickly became many things to me; a journal, research project, source of vital information for helping my clients, etc.

I hope you will continue to read my blog, and check out my website for Evanescence Counseling.
