In honor of Cinco de Mayo, here's a list of the amores latinos that we love.
1) Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz
For these two, it wasn't exactly love at first site. They met in 1992 on the set of Jamon, jamon, but when the movie wrapped, so did their relationship. Cruz moved on to other co-stars, but found her way back to Bardem in 2007. This couple is the strong and silent type, though, preferring to keep their relationship on the DL. This is another couple that had to spend some time apart to realize that they belonged together. Even though they dated briefly in the '90s (before the Chris Judd period), but became serious in 2003. After marrying in June of 2004 and becoming parents to twins, this pair is rock-solid.
3) Juanes and Karen Martinez
This colombian couple (and parents of three) has been wed since 2004. He's a singer who is just as well known for his activism as for his music. 5) Tony Parker and Eva Longoria Parker
Although this couple is only half-Latin, we're including them just because we love them. Eva is Mexican-American, and she married Tony (a Frenchman) in a civil service, and then had a church ceremony on 7//7/07—the perfect date for a pair so lucky in love. They've handled allegations of infidelity, the media spotlight, and two high-profle careers that force them to spend time apart. Is there anything these two can't tackle together? The Yankee catcher and his wife are both Puerto Rican. The two have been married for over 10 years now, and have two children together. Though the public may hear rumors about the crazy love lives of players like A-Rod, Jorge has kept his personal life out of the press, so we don't have too many details. We can say with reasonable confidence, however, that the Posadas make a great team.
