As a writer and educator, my biggest passion is people. Whether speaking at national conferences for hundreds of women or brunch with my dearest friends, I am passionate about empowering women to build stronger relationships in our lives.
About Charreah Jackson
My recent BlogTalkRadio interview discussing how women can get more in touch with their sexuality was the most popular romance/sex show on the website for three weeks. Not because my voice is so great, but the lack of information on being knowledgeable and empowered in our sex lives and relationships.
As the Associate Editor at Essence magazine's website, I researched and created relationships features from tips to smoothly blending a family to “Frisky Friday,” my popular weekly column of sex information and empowerment. Women around the nation shared their appreciation for facts shared.
My biggest passion is people and sharing strategies for stronger relationships in our lives. Because when home isn’t right, nothing else is.
At the Smart Marriages Conference, I trained with top relationships educators Sherod Miller, Ph. D. and Phyllis Miller, Ph. D. on working with couples and developing curriculum. As a certified family life educator, I develop and present popular relationships workshops including “Hook Up With Happy” for college students, “Love & the Urbanite” for young professionals, and “Real Talk on Relationships” for teens. I also provide one on one sessions full of love and support for women.
I have traveled the country speaking and hosting workshops including the 2009 Women + Power Conference, headlined by Gloria Steinem and the 2011 American Society of Journalists and Authors Conference.
Fellow feminist Marianne Schnall featured me in her book "Daring to be Ourselves,” which includes insights from influential women such as Maya Angelou, Cameron Diaz and Eve Ensler.
I utilize my experiences from more than seven years as a communications professional to reinforce the message of being informed, from discussing the rise of condom sales in the recession with an executive at LifeStyles to talking sex with Sarah Jessica Parker
My biggest accomplishment is simply practicing what I preach. It’s not my latest national magazine feature or workshop my friends and associates first ask about when seeing me. It’s about the happy and healthy relationship I have built with my guy.
