About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years experience in Private Practice. I am also a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience. I approach the client from a mind-body-soul perspective. I am dedicated to assisting individuals overcome life challenges with compassion, professional guidance, education and caring support. I desire to empower people to claim the fullness of their dreams and full creative potential by working with their beliefs, emotions, body and spirit.

The Reason I Became A Helping Professional

From a very young age I always had a empathetic desire to assist people in their struggles. This was probably triggered by the difficult situations I had faced in my life and worked hard to overcome. I first entered the Helping Profession as a Registered Nurse but with time I desired to have more time and energy to devote to the individuals emotional state of being. This lead me to continue my education in counseling. I have thoroughly enjoyed the past 15 years of being able to be involved in touching peoples lives and see individuals, marriages and families changed.

Success Stories

Recovering from an Affair

I have had more than several couples who would fit this case scenario. This is a couple who have gotten very busy with jobs, life and children. They have neglected to maintain their relationship or haven't had the skills to properly conduct sucessful relationships. An affair is discovered which leads the couple to counseling. After overcoming the hurt, anger and betrayal, they work to rebuild the trust in their marriage. Once this is accomplished we are able to identify weakenesses or downfalls in the relationship. With time and practice the couple is able to learn new ways of relating, meeting each other's needs, communicating and have healthy conflict interactions. For many couples they graduate counseling with a more improved and loving marriage than they had before. It is such a joy to receive Christmas cards or updates from couples years later who continue to do well and thrive.
