This week it was reported that Elisabeth Moss officially filed for divorce from her husband of less then a year Saturday Night Live actor Fred Armisen. Nobody knows for sure why the two split, but it's rumored that Elisabeth, a Scientologist, was more interested in the religion then her own marriage. Is Scientology toxic to relationships?
Earlier this week, we reported that Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen had split from his wife of 10 months, Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss, and we speculated that perhaps it was the long distance aspect of their relationship that broke them up. Now, a few days later after word of his divorce broke, Life & Style is reporting that Fred has found a new girlfriend much closer to home (and work), his SNL co-star Abby Elliott.
It looks like January Jones isn’t the only single Mad Men star on set. Elisabeth Moss, 27, who plays Peggy on the AMC drama, has reportedly split from her husband of 10 months, 42-year-old Fred Armisen of SNL fame. “Fred and Elisabeth separated in May. Fred is currently in Portland, Ore. on the set of his new series Portlandia. Elisabeth is in LA focusing on her career and spending quiet time with friends,” said a source to Life & Style Magazine.
What makes "Man Men" so delicious is a fact its Y-chromosome-heavy cast list works to conceal: it's really about women.
Elisabeth Moss, best known for playing presidential daughter Zoey Bartlet on the "West Wing," portrays young and sexy secretary-turned-copywriter Peggy Olson on AMC's "Mad Men." Since the show's first season, Peggy has changed significantly, especially in relating to the opposite sex. As the only woman on the creative staff, Peggy struggles to get into the boys' club. Here, the star discusses her character's journey and on-screen style. Although love and romance are the last things her character is looking for, Moss dishes on her own off-show dating life.
