Looks like the stork was busy in Hollywood this week. Neil Patrick Harris and his partner David Burtka became the proud papas of twins! Although the couple never confirmed the identity of their stork, sources say the babies were born using a surrogate. And the lucky pair got the perfect combo in our opinion—a boy, Gideon Scott and a girl, Harper Grace. (Cute names too, huh?)
Neil Patrick Harris may be eagerly counting down the days until he becomes a first time dad, but, for his partner David Burtka, the anticipation of the arrival of their twins, who will be born to a surrogate mother, may be of the déjà vu variety. According to Star Magazine, David is already a dad to 10-year-old twins, Flynn and Javin, who live with their other dad and David's ex, film producer Lane Janger. The couple had the twins via a surrogate mother in 2000, but broke-up in 2004, and, now, claims the magazine, David rarely ever sees the kids, even though they all live in LA.
Although there were many great pairs at the 2010 Emmys, we only have nine places on our list of Best Emmy-Night Couples. It's too bad that January Jones and Jason Sudeikis didn't make the cut. We know that everyone was anticipating their official "coming out" as a couple on Emmy night, but we couldn't concentrate on them because January's fugger-than-fug dress took all the focus away from her adorable date.
Neil Patrick Harris and his partner, David Burtka shocked us all when they recently announced that they are expecting twins this fall via a surrogate. While we were still trying to come to terms with the idea of Doogie Howser having not one, but two babies, the actor goes and drops another shocker—he's thinking about leaving Hollywood to join the ranks of other famous stay-at-home dads, like Matthew Broderick. Well, according to PopEater's Rob Shuter, that is.
Congratulations to fathers-to-be Neil Patrick Harris and his longtime boyfriend, actor-turned-chef David Burtka, who confirmed via Twitter that they are expecting twins this fall via a surrogate mother. "We're super excited/nervous/thrilled. Hoping the press can respect our privacy," tweeted NPH about their impending fatherhood.
We spend a lot of time thinking about celebrities' dating, canoodling, and marriage partners. Here are the five best and five worst celeb couples right now.
There have been a few rumors being batted around that say Neil Patrick Harris is expecting a child. Seeing as he and his partner, the super cool David Burtka, are both men and thus incapable of becoming pregnant, we were mildly skeptical of the story. Jokes aside, obviously NPH and David Burtka could very easily have secured a surrogate (with their money and good looks) but the star of How I Met Your Mother has told New York Magazine that they are waiting a bit before they become parents though he says that he and David "would make very good parents."
