On Thursday night, the Lakers and the Magic faced off in Game 4 of the NBA finals, but they weren't the only adversaries in the Orlando arena. Days before, singer Chris Brown had been subpoenaed to appear in court after being charged with assaulting his former girlfriend pop-artist Rihanna. Though not sitting together, both were in attendance cheering on the Lakers, but each may have had other motives for being there. Reports had surfaced that the new man in her life was Andrew Bynum, who plays center for the Lakers, but a source and friend of the singer told the Daily News of a different pro baller she was digging on.
After naked snapshots of Rihanna made the rounds on the Internet earlier this month, an informant told Star magazine that the 21-year-old songstress blames her allegedly abusive ex-boyfriend, R&B singer Chris Brown. And although the Brown camp vehemently denies the allegation, Rihanna doesn't seem to be buying it. She's threatening to release a few unflattering shots of Brown in the buff as payback.
People magazine is reporting that singer Rihanna and Canadian hip-hop artist Aubrey ''Drake'' Graham are an item. The magazine is reporting that the couple were spotted in NYC last night, openly affectionate and obviously into each other. People goes onto say that, ''Rihanna stopped by Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge with 10 pals for some bowling, drinks and plenty of PDA with Canadian hip-hop artist Aubrey ''Drake'' Graham.'' Their source says that Rihanna was, ''absolutely glowing.'' The source also said that, ''The two of them were stealing kisses here and there the whole night,'' adding that, ''They were very cute. Both of them were in really good spirits and she was having a great time.''
Chris Brown had one of many days in court yesterday and entered a 'not guilty' plea for his domestic abuse run-in back in February. The singer is facing a felony assault charge and another charge for making criminal threats. Hopefully, this ugly incident with girlfriend Rihanna will have a silver lining somewhere.
Rumor has it that Rihanna is prepared to full forgive Chris Brown. After their alleged domestic violence incident, the Barbadian singer wants another apology from Chris Brown, but this time on Oprah. Not that Chris Brown has earned much sympathy, but he is not in an enviable position. In other Rihanna news, she is not dating Brody Jenner or Frankie Delgado, though you could have probably guessed that.
Oprah isn't a domestic abuse victim; Kristen Rambler was. Her advice to Rihanna: LEAVE CHRIS BROWN! Forget the $50,000 forgiveness bracelet. Don't record the duet. GET OUT NOW! Rambler spent two years, beginning when she was 17 and a high school senior, desperately in love with her first boyfriend. But gradually the relationship turned increasingly violent. When Kristen saw Rihanna's beaten face, it was like looking in the mirror at what her own used to look like. Kristen, now 26, considers herself lucky to have survived that day. Rihanna—she wants you to hear her story and learn.
