Yee-haw! Life is good for Kimberly Williams-Paisley, star of ABC's hit show Nashville. We caught up with Mrs. Brad Paisley to discuss her marriage ... and, of course, pry some Nashville spoilers out of her! "It's the first time really since having my kids that I have worked in the town that I live in," says the Nashville, TN resident. It's no surprise that this year's CMAs were dominated by celebrity couples. Blame it on Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, but there's just something about a country duo that everybody seems to love. Sadly, though, not everyone was coupled up. Taylor Swift arrived solo without her reported boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, and a "somber-looking" Billy Ray Cyrus made his first red carpet appearance since the news of his split from wife Tish became public. Oh, well, perhaps Billy Ray will write a sad, yet award-winning, country song about their divorce and be back on top at next year's show like the 5 happy couples below?
For their protectiveness, their willingness to spend time with us, and for being the first man to capture our hearts, dads are wonderful and deserve our appreciation. Here now is a list of love songs and the famous ladies who inspired them.
It seems like just yesterday that Brad Paisley spontaneously trotted off the stage of the Country Music Association Awards to kiss wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley and her baby bump in the front row. In fact, it's been five months since that display of affectionate that made country music fans ooh and aah. And as of Friday, the occupent of that bump has entered the world, as the newest member of the Paisley family.
Matthew McConaughey and Camilla Alves left son Levi at home so Matt could present the Entertainer of the Year award at last night's Academy of Country Music Awards from Las Vegas's MGM Grand hotel. McConaughey poked fun at his own tendency to go shirtless and ratcheted up the tension before presenting the award by relating an anecdote about charming the ladies of Tyler, Texas, back in 1987 by pretending to be country legend George Strait's custom boot-maker. "We got lucky that night; thank you, George," McConaughey said, to the visible delight of Mr. Strait.
