Click for rare images of Padma Lakshmi From New York Daily News By George Rush and Joanna Rush Molloy Billionaire Ted Forstmann has trained his gaze on another world-class beauty. The financier, whose consorts have included Elizabeth Hurley and Princess Diana, has become a fast friend of model, chef and actress Padma Lakshmi. Their mouthpieces maintain that the two are not dating. But that hasn't stopped some from noticing that Forstmann has appeared in Lakshmi's life just as her husband, author Salman Rushdie, is leaving it. Reps say the 67-year-old tycoon and the 36-year-old host of Bravo's "Top Chef" have been meeting simply because she's become a client of Forstmann's International Management Group, the sports and entertainment marketing giant.
From People By Liz Corcoran and Stephen M. Silverman Five months after their engagement, Howard Stern and fiancée Beth Ostroksy are no nearer to announcing plans for their nuptials. "Well, we don't really have wedding plans," Stern told PEOPLE Saturday at a party hosted by Hamptons magazine, which features Ostrosky on the cover. "We're enjoying being engaged. We like the whole idea of being engaged. We think we like it even more than the idea of being married." As for their future plans, "we think for another year we could be engaged," he said. The news will come as no surprise to those who recall Stern's vow never to marry again after a fake wedding announcement on his radio show last year. "I am not married," he said at the time. "It's a nice feeling that we get along great. We're very happy and I don't want to f--- it up." Tango’s Take
From CBS News (CBS) SAN FRANCISCO Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the California woman dubbed the so-called "D.C. Madam," called a former client and U.S. senator a 'hypocrite' during an interview Monday night with CBS San Francisco. Her comments came hours after Republican Sen. David Vitter denied new charges that he had relationships with New Orleans prostitutes -- a week after admitting links to the Washington escort service run by Palfrey that federal prosecutors allege was a prostitution ring. Vitter has run for office in the past espousing a 'family values' platform. When asked about the scandal surrounding him now, Palfrey told CBS San Francisco that Vitter is "truly the quintessential hypocrite," and added that the now-unfolding political scandal is playing out in the true of spirit of American democracy.
From Daily Mail It is undoubtedly one of the most unusual family set-ups in the country. A lesbian couple have both given birth to babies using sperm from the same father - a gay drag queen they met in a nightclub. The bizarre deal was made when Stephanie Burns, 23, asked her lesbian friend Joanne Bartle, 40, to help her find a sperm donor so she could become a mum. Using an NHS hypodermic syringe Stephanie got herself pregnant after Joanne injected her with sperm donated by outrageous female impersonator Ryan Egeley, 21. And Joanne, who has a three-year-old son from a previous straight relationship decided she would follow suit and used a separate batch of sperm donated by Mr Egeley. Tango’s Take

It looks like we can get married after all. How about that? From Associated Press MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Hennepin County has agreed to end its practice of denying marriage licenses to people without Social Security numbers. The agreement is part of an out-of-court settlement reached July Second with Shira Levenson and Miguel Acuna. They had applied for a marriage license in February in Minneapolis. The application was denied because Levenson's Peruvian-born fiance had arrived on a special visa for those about to marry US citizens and he didn't have a Social Security number. The couple flew to Las Vegas to get married, but the 27-year-old Minneapolis woman also sued. Tango’s Take
