From Star Magazine Congratulations to proud parents Bridget Moynihan and Tom Brady who welcomed their first child, a boy on Wednesday in Los Angeles. "Mother and baby are doing well," her publicist, Christina Papadopoulos, said. Moynahan, 36, first announced she was pregnant in February, around the same time that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady began dating Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen. On Monday, Brady, 30, called impending fatherhood "a very joyous, happy situation." Tango’s Take So, Tom Brady is a daddy. We wonder if he’s going to lose some of the moxie that’s led The Patriots to three Super Bowl victories in his career? Is he going to have the whole situation resting in the back of his head forcing him to miss wide-open receivers? Were some portion of his powers passed on to his infant son? Is this just what he gets for playing for a Boston team and wearing a Yankees cap? Could this derail what could be a dream season for an absolutely stacked Patriots team?
From The California Aggie Online By Thuy Tran UC Davis researchers found through a new analysis that marital violence is more common among Asian American couples who report marital distress. Professor of psychology and Asian American studies Nolan Zane and graduate student Manveen Dhindsa analyzed data from a study that surveyed 2,554 Latinos and 2,095 Asian Americans. The Latino and Asian American study, conducted between May 2002 and November 2003, is the largest national survey on mental disorders and use of psychiatric services in these ethnic groups. "The presence of anxiety disorder, acculturative stress and the lack of family cohesion all emerged as significant predictors of marital violence among a nationally representative sample of Asian American males (i.e., Chinese, Vietnamese and Filipino American)," Dhindsa said in an e-mail.
Evidently, Wilmer Valderrama is too busy for a girlfriend. Only Ryan Seacrest can claim to be ‘too busy’ for a girlfriend and even he has the decency to look embarrassed when he says it. Maybe Valderramma has just hit his number. It’s like there are only so many miles in a car’s life and only so many hits in a baseball bat, maybe WV has run his hit his total.
From The Boston Herald By Renee Nadeau Every bride worries about her wedding day turning into a circus, but that was the plan from the beginning for two carnies who wed at the Marshfield Fair yesterday. Meghan Jupe, 23, and Dave Bowling, 31, who both work at the fair, had dated six years ago but reunited when they met again about three months ago. Jupe had worked the festival circuit before and joined again after reuniting with Bowling. She now works at the fried dough stand, and Bowling, a 17-year veteran carnie, works the balloon-popping game. “I was so nervous,” said Jupe, whose family is from Massachusetts. “I didn’t even want to say anything because I knew I would screw it up.” Tango’s Take
From CBS (CBS) Everyone has heard of pre-marital counseling, wherein engaged couples spend time with a clergyman or family therapist who discusses various aspects of married life. Experts say this can often help couples resolve difficult issues before those issues can create a rift in the relationship.
Here goes: Hayden Panettiere (from Heroes) is now ‘legal.’ Which means fanboys can blog about having torture-sex with an invincible teenager to their heart’s content without worrying about Johnny Law kicking in their doors. Anne Heche has moved in with her Men In Trees costar, James Tupper. Not to question his motives or decision-making ability, but wasn’t this the woman who was just in a bitter divorce argument over who gets custody of their imaginary friends? This is has as much chance for success as the program they’re in. Laura Linney just got engaged to long-time boyfriend Marc Schauer. Sure, we have no idea who she is but she was great in Love Actually. She seems like the kind of gal who never has a mean thing to say about anyone. Like our Aunt Patsy.
